About the Book
What did the Buddha actually teach, and how can we make sense of it all?
Thousands of early discourses have survived, alongside more than two thousand years of interpretation and debate. This book brings these together systematically, drawing on original Pāli, modern science, and direct experience where each can provide clarity.
The aim is not simply to explain Buddhist concepts, but to connect the teachings and move from understanding them towards living them.

About the Author
Anup Poudyal is a practitioner, writer, and founder of The Middle Way Publications. His work is grounded in a long-standing interest in Buddhism, contemplative practice, and direct experience.
Rather than presenting himself as an expert or authority, Anup approaches writing as an extension of personal inquiry. The books published through The Middle Way Publications are the result of years of study, reflection, and lived experience, offered in the hope that they may support others in their own exploration and practice.
Anup lives in Australia with his family, where he continues to write, practise, and simplify, guided by the principles of the Noble Eightfold Path.
